On March 14th, the Naperville Sister Cities Foundation walked in the Naperville St. Patrick's Day Parade with over 3,000 participants and 15,000 spectators. We were able to participate in the celebration of Irish heritage and culture. Photos credited, the parade credited to Postively Naperville.
KidsMatter Teen Philanthropy Initiative Grant
It was an exciting evening on Wednesday, April 29th, when KidsMatter hosted its 2026 Teen Philanthropy Initiative. We were honored to be included in the grant process and to receive grant dollars for the Sister Cities Monarch Butterfly Garden project. The foundation is so grateful.
What an inspiring evening! The Naperville Sister Cities Foundation celebrated its 4th Young Artists and Authors Showcase at the Naperville Fine Art Center and Gallery. We were honored to have Mayor Wehrli and Councilman Syed join us to present awards to our incredible local artists and authors (ages 12–18). It was wonderful to see families, teachers, and neighbors coming together to support the next generation of talent. Huge thanks to Calogero’s and Belgio’s for the delicious food and for always investing in our community’s youth!

On January 30th, 2026, members of the Naperville Sister Cities Foundation (Tina Cui, Maya Meschi, Tien and Tai Nghiem) joined Brookdale Elementary School's annual Multicultural Night, highlighting the vibrant cultures and diversity that make Naperville special.

Naperville Hosts Annual Student Exchange from Nitra, Slovakia
Naperville high schools established a student exchange program supported by Naperville Sister Cities Commission and Foundation where students from Naperville and Nitra, Slovakia learn about each city’s government, culture and community by visiting the other communities.
Students from Nitra learned about Naperville and its government with presentations from Mayor Chirico and Councilwoman Gustin. Students were excited about the shopping options in Naperville.
