Students spoke at Congressman Thompson's Climate Town Hall, Climate of Change Climate Symposium, Tom Steyer forum, Women's March, and others.

Countywide Climate Action Committee (CAC) - request for S4CA representation on advisory committee and list of climate action demands.
General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC), Napa City Council, St. Helena City Council, Napa County Board of Supervisors - Students presented during public comment to raise awareness of the climate emergency and to call for immediate climate policy and action implementation.
Napa County Legislative Subcommittee - 2020, and 2021 Policy Platform - submitted recommendations for state and federal climate action policy.
Climate Stabilization Committees - campus and district-wide committees established.
Regeneration Napa County Challenge - introduced to campuses.
Single-use plastics ban ordinance - S4CA members driving the effort with local advocates and elected representatives.
Climate Champion award in 2019.
Professional Learning Day - partnering with Napa Climate NOW! to deliver training to the entire teaching staff of NVUSD.
Lobbies Calistoga, American Canyon, Yountville, Napa, St.Helena, and the County of Napa to pass CE declarations with the goal of achieving net zero climate pollution by or before 2030.
Pushes the City of Napa to be the first to set the unambiguous 2030 net zero deadline in its General Plans
Pushes for bans on new gas station permits in American Canyon and Calistoga.

committed to achieving the goal of net zero climate pollution by or
before 2030 - in solidarity with NVUSD 2030 net zero commitment

Last September- American Canyon Ad Hoc Climate Committee - City

This past year - the City of Napa, the first to make the 2030 net zero deadline a

This April & July - Napa City Council unanimously passed a moratorium on
new and expanded gas stations; Yountville adopted a ban on new and expanding gas stations as well as strengthened their tree protection ordinance
Past Month: St. Helena agreed to work on an ordinance to ban new and expanded gas stations. Marking ALL Napa County cities to have done the same!
