Dr. Marty Meyers is originally from the mid-west, moving to Arizona in 2001. He is a graduate of Wright State University and has BS in Biology and a Doctor of Medicine. He is trained in family and emergency medicine. He has worked in family practice centers, emergency departments, and urgent care facilities for over 20 years.
Dr. Meyers has always been interested in the field of education and moved from clinical medicine to education. He has worked as a full-time medical instructor in Arizona and as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine for R3 Education, Inc in the Caribbean. In addition to instructing he has served as a medical program director and college dean.
His current work as co-founder of NAOP International allows him to take healthcare and education to a large population of individuals in great need of these services.
Dr. Paul Gomez has generously agreed to serve as a board member at NAOP-International. He is an Internal Medicine Graduate. His interests include gastroenterology, pulmonary and critical care medicine. He is an Arizona native and enjoys the climate and "great food". Dr Gomez currently lives and works as a Gastroenterologist in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Gomez has an interest in medical outreach, especially for vulnerable populations. Dr. Gomez has been distinguished by several leadership roles during his training at University of Arizona-Phoenix. He has published multiple research papers in the area of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Ms. Lucie Lopez is originally from South America and immigrated to the United States in the nineteen seventies obtaining full US Citizenship. She grew up in a third world country and was personally exposed to the the lack of healthcare and education. She has experience in nonprofit organizations and foreign NGOs. She has visited underprivileged nations in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Several members of her family in South America are physicians and support her endeavors at NAOP International.
In addition to her other skills she is proficient at medical triage and phlebotomy. She has over 20 years of experience as a Senior Tax Manager and holds an IRS Enrolled Agent designation. Ms. Lopez has a comprehensive knowledge of foreign and US 501 (c)3 corporation taxes. She is bilingual, speaking and writing fluently in English.
