The main focus of QuantumNano Lab group is on fabrication of high quality quantum dots. At present the group is working on colloidal carbon quantum dots, InP QDs and Perovskite Quantum dots. Some of the current areas of interest are listed below.
Synthesis and application of III-V Quantum dots (QDs), specifically InP, InAs QDs and their core shell structure. Enhancing their optical and structural properties for prospective use in opto-electronic, sensing, imaging, quantum information, and communication are key emphasis.
Synthesis and surface engineering of high quantum yield Carbon dots. Surface engineering to reduce aggregation induced quenching leading to highly emitting solid state emission in CDs
Synthesis of high-quality Inorganic Halide perovskite Nanocrystals using bottom-up approaches for single photon source application.
Development of Plasmon enhanced QD based microstructured fibers
