Registration

The summer school is aimed at UK Graduate Students involved in Surface Science research, although it is open to anyone with an active interest in the field. All attendees are expected to bring and present a scientific poster describing their research. Please note the section on refunds and cancellation charges at the bottom of this page.

Registration is now open. To register, please:

• Follow this link to register and make an online payment to secure your place.
• After registering, please email the title and abstract for your poster to surfscisummerschool@phy.cam.ac.uk .

Please send your abstracts as soon as possible and by 1 July 2018 at the latest, unless you register after that date.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is inclusive of refreshments and lunch on all days, the summer school dinner, and all event material. Accommodation is not included within the standard registration fee, but is available at Murray-Edwards college, Cambridge, for a supplement. We expect this accommodation will be convenient for most attendees of the summer school, although the accommodation availability is limited - so book early to avoid disappointment.

Registration fees are:

• £500 inclusive of 3 nights accommodation and evening meals.
• £325 standard rate, without accommodation.
• £100 discount for Institute of Physics or Royal Society of Chemistry (please be prepared to show proof of membership when you arrive).
• £50 early bird discount, for registration before 14th May 2018.

All payments must arrive by 16 July 2016. After that day, all unpaid registrations will be cancelled.

Cancellation and refund policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the conference organiser. Once payment has been made, if the written cancellation notice is received:

• at least six weeks prior to the first day of the event, a full credit/refund will be issued;
• less than six weeks, but at least three weeks, prior to the first day of the event, a full credit/refund minus a 20% administrative charge will be issued;
• less than three weeks prior to the first day of the event, or you do not attend the event, no refund will be issued.
