Welcome to the Lab of Nanostructured Quantum Materials. Our research group is within the department of Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech.
Our research interests include:
Discovery, deterministic synthesis and scalable processing of nanostructured quantum materials
Multimodal electron microscopy characterizations
4/2026: Arindom presented at MSE Department Seminar for Graduate Research
4/2026: Arindom received a Graduate Fellowship from VT Matter Labs for 2026-2027. Arindom will lead a collaboration with research staffs at VT's NCFL on data-driven materials characterization.
4/2026: Arindom and Huy presented a poster at VT Quantum Institute on our collaborative work with Dr. Seva Ivanov (VT Physics and National Security Institute.Â
3/2026: Kinley presented at APS March Meeting 2026 on photo-assisted gas sensing of TiS3/graphene heterostructures.
12/2025: Thang organized a symposium at MRS Fall Meeting 2025. The symposium covered a broad topic of "Materials for Quantum Information Sciences". More details at "MQ01: Materials for QIS"
5/2025: Thang got an internal fund from VT's College of Science to work with Dr. Maitreyee Sharma (Aerospace Engineering) on applying machine learning for nanomaterial synthesis optimization.
