PhD Work
Thesis Title: Electromagnetic Sensing Technologies for Orthodontics and Orthopedics Applications
2018-2019 – Co-worked on Project on Development of Self-powered Health/Condition Monitoring for an Industrial Robot.
2019-2021 – Co-developed on Intraoral Pressure Monitoring Module for Orthodontics Applications.
In this project, I worked on magnetic sensing for intraoral application. My work involved working on ferromagnetic materials, PDMS and thermoplastics.
2021-2023 – Designed a Sensing Array Arrangement for Intraoral Sensing Approach.
2021-2023 – Worked on Nickel-Iron based Thin-Film Deposition based Electromagnetic Targeting System for Orthopedic Surgical Application.
Developed an analytical model for targeting mechanism.
Developed a process for deposition of thin-film inside a medical component (orthopedic nail).
Improved the system accuracy from 74% to 90% and then from 90% to 96%.
2022-2024 – Developed a Wearable (In-vivo) Intraoral Module for Swallowing Monitoring Application. (University's IRB Application for human trials is under review)
Master Work

2015-2016 – Co-worked on Development and Characterization of Humidity Sensors.
2016-2017 – Co-worked on method of Extraction of Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) Templates.
2017 – Developed an Electromagnetic Vibration Energy Harvester for Low Frequency (1-20 Hz) Self Powered Applications at School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India.
Developed an analytical model (in MATLAB) for calculation of output response of energy harvester.
Internships
2 June, 2016 to 24 August, 2016 – Establishment of Surface Micromachined Cantilevers at Semi-Conductor Laboratory (Department of Space, Govt. of India), Mohali, India.
I was involved in literature review, process development {(selection of process parameters for Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)) and wet etching. I operated the following equipment: Optical Microscope, Critical Point Dryer (Tousimis 915-B), 3D Optical Profiler (Zeta), Optical Film Thickness Measurement Tool.
