The research paper titled
Novel Control Algorithm for the Foot Placement of a Walking Bipedal Robot was published on January 2013 and was retracted on April 2014. The reason for its retraction was plagiarism. The two authors, Wanli Liu and Meng Guo plagiarized majority of the texts and equations from a doctoral thesis written by Tomas de Boer. The doctoral thesis was published on March 2012. As reflected by the data section of the poster, you can see by the highlighted words, that Liu and Guo failed to respect the scientific community. If there are any differences seen between the two figures, then it is most likely due to the paraphrasing of the words. However, it is still considered plagiarism because ideas were stolen.
