With energetic melodies, unpredictable grooves, and ever-changing sounds, Die schlaue Bildkröte captivates its audience. At home in contemporary classical music as well as progressive rock and jazz, they have found their own unique sound that never ceases to surprise and fascinate. The bassless line-up also ensures that all musicians are actively involved at all times and often change their musical roles: there is no one soloist or one accompanist. Combined with a high degree of improvisation, this results in a very varied and dynamic program that never reaches a zero point.
Die schlaue Bildkröte dedicates its brand-new program Physeter Macrocephalus to the eponymous sperm whale: transcribed whale songs, rhythms derived from the communication system, and humorously incorporated texts about the Physeter family bring the animal closer to the audience in a musical way.

The Portuguese guitarist Guilherme Raminhos specializes in the interpretation of contemporary music. Fascinated by the possibilities of his instrument in this genre, he has played with experienced musicians such as the renowned Ensemble Recherche and Chaos Cadence and has won numerous prizes at international guitar competitions. After completing his bachelor's degree in the class of renowned professor Carlo Marchione at the Maastricht Conservatory, he graduated with the highest honors in 2024 with a master's degree in contemporary music under Professor Otto Tolonen at the Lübeck University of Music. Since October 2024, he has been studying for his concert exam in the internationally renowned guitar class at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar.
