New Offering: NALCD Mentorship Program
NALCD initiated a new professional development offering for the 2025-26 school year. Fifteen districts are participating in this mentorship, which is designed to provide support to individuals with district leadership responsibilities in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The mentorship includes monthly meetings with a combination of in-person and virtual events. In addition, each participant was matched with an individual mentor with whom they can have ongoing contact for timely support.
Meeting topics for this year include Legislative Requirements & Nebraska Department of Ed. Rules, Federal Grants & NDE Reporting, Curriculum Renewal Processes, Assessment and Accountability, Strategic Planning and Board Relations, Professional Development, Current Legislation, Continuous Improvement/Accreditation, Strategic Planning and Board Relations, Program Evaluation and Managing Change, and Communication.
