Disability Etiquette 101
Presentation Description: You care about the experience of all patrons who use your library, but few of us have been trained on how to tailor our services for patrons who are disabled. In this session, you’ll learn the do’s and don’ts of disability etiquette. We’ll also consider a new paradigm for framing disability in general, which will prepare you to handle left-field situations that the standard guidelines don’t cover. Handouts will be provided so you can easily share what you’ve learned with coworkers.
