This is a 10-week virtual intercultural exchange project . The project was created by Doctor John Corbett who is a Professor at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. He is the author of several books and articles, including Intercultural Language Activities and An Intercultural Approach to English Language Teaching (Multilingual Matters).

Mrs. Nahla Nassar is a member of the team of instructors who coordinate and deliver this telecollaboration project.

Participants in this course (pre-service English language teachers at four different universities in Brazil, Germany, Turkey, and Israel) worked together in transnational teams to compare and analyze their local contexts (e.g., their personal teaching philosophies, requirements of being a teacher, global issues and their local causes and/or consequences) and to collaboratively design their own VE projects. These projects were aimed at learners in secondary education English language classes in all four countries, used the concept of the Complex Competence Task by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Hallet as a framework, and explicitly dealt with at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
