長島研究室は2023年に発足した新しい研究室です。活気あふれる若い教員と共に研究室を盛り立ててくれる，意欲のある学生を歓迎します。

私達は原子・分子から材料・デバイス・環境・人間に至るまで様々なスケールのインタラクション現象を基軸として材料・デバイス・データ融合研究を展開し，加工技術では得られない高次構造や高い分子認識能を備えたナノ材料を設計して創り上げると共に，従来技術を遥かに凌駕する高性能・高機能のデバイスを実現し，デバイスにより収集したデータの利活用による新しい価値の創造に挑戦しています。

既存の枠組みに捉われない分野融合研究に挑戦するため，化学，物理，生物，情報など多角的な視点で現象を捉えることが必要であり，幅広い分野の勉強と柔軟な思考が求められますが，カッティングエッジな科学研究を通して多くの経験と知識が得られます。

Our lab has newly launched in April 2023. We welcome the highly motivated students  who will work together with enthusiastic young staffs.

We take on the challenge of creating new value of scientific technology together pursuing fusion science in materials, devices and data on the basis of interaction phenomena at various scales from atoms and molecules to materials, devices, environments and humans. Our research includes designed synthesis of high-order structured nanomaterials and molecular recognition material beyond existing technology, realization of high performance functional devices, and creation of new value from acquired data through above-constructed devices.

To challenge interdisciplinary research that is not bound by existing frameworks, you need to study and understand phenomena from multiple perspectives such as chemistry, physics, biology and information.

We promise you can acquire fruitful experience and scientific knowledge through cutting-edge research.

If you want to join our group as a postdoc researcher, you are encouraged to apply to Postdoctoral Fellowships Program by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Link. We also accept talented visiting students and researchers as well. Please e-mail your CV to Prof. Nagashima.

当研究室が取り組む科学研究，及びその産業展開を加速推進するために，分子認識材料，人工嗅覚デバイス，匂いのデジタル化の基礎・応用に関する共同研究（アカデミック・企業）を募集しております。

In order to accelerate our scientific research and its industrial development, we are looking for collaboration research (academic and companies) on the fundamentals and applications of molecular recognition materials, artificial olfactory devices, and digitization of odors.

In addition, Hokkaido university has an academic consulting system for companies. If there is anything we can help for nanomaterial growth, devices, data analysis, etc., please feel free to contact Prof. Nagashima.
