The National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA) is a newly established body in Pakistan aimed at modernizing agriculture, promoting food safety, and boosting trade. It was formed under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and merges the Department of Plant Protection (DPP) and Animal Quarantine. NAFSA's key objectives include introducing modern agricultural systems aligned with global standards, reducing reliance on harmful chemicals like Methyl Bromide, and enhancing transparency in agricultural trade.Â
