Dr. Nafis Faizi is an Assistant Professor and Epidemiologist at the Department of Community Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh since 2015. He is also an India HPSR Fellow (Health Policy and Systems Research)-2022 and an Academic Editor for Plos Global Public Health. As a faculty his primary teaching areas are Epidemiology, Global Health and Health Systems, Health Policy, Essential Medicines and Demography. He also teaches online at Victoria University and Public Health University (MPH students). Previously, he worked as a Scientist E (Medical) in Indian Council of Medical Research- National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR-NIMR)

Beside his research interests in public health and community medicine, his policy engagements include Health Systems and Antimicrobial Resistance, primarily through Democratizing Global Health Initiative and Antibiotic Resistance Coalition (ARC) respectively. He is also an instructor for Epidemiological Research Unit where he trains and provides consultations to researchers in bio statistics, data analysis, study designs and other research tools. Along with his expertise in Health Policy, he represents many professional societies of Epidemiology, Public Health and Community Medicine.
