Bio:

My academic journey began at Sharif University of Technology in Iran where I selected Physics as my field of study. Following that, I attended UC Riverside, CA, to pursue my Ph.D. in earthquake physics and seismology. My doctoral research focused primarily on the examination of the source characteristics of earthquakes, mainly by utilizing inverse theory applied to seismic data and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite imagery. I explored software development and algorithm design through managing extensive seismic datasets, which led to collaboration with UCR's computer science department. In my current position as a Project Scientist, I apply Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to time series analysis and image analysis. Reflecting on my academic journey, I have discovered my main interest in the realm of AI, and I am actively involved in teaching AI at UCR. Teaching provides me with profound satisfaction, since I am passionate about the subject and believe that genuine comprehension is acquired through teaching.
