Description: This piece is a view of the skyline of the beautiful city of Boston, where I spent my formative college years, based on a photo I took from a study lounge on the Boston University campus. The study lounge is located on the 26th floor of a building called Student Village 2 at BU, or StuVi2 (pronounced "stoo-vee-two") for short. It is one of my favorite drawings because of its intricate details.
Description: An up close and detailed view of a flower and the water droplets on it, this piece was completed during my senior year of high school for my art portfolio course. It is based on a beautiful closeup picture taken by my art teacher, and was an extremely rewarding project. It is my favorite painting to this day.
Description: This piece is based on a picture I took during a visit to Cairo, Egypt, where I lived for several years. I took the picture while walking down the historic and lively street of Khan El Khalili, where local vendors and artisans sell a wide variety of hand-made crafts and souvenirs. The street is a major attraction for both local residents and tourists alike, and this piece was inspired by the colorful lanterns displayed in many shops in the area.
