E-Learning Creative Production Management | Mastery Academy | 2022

In 2021–2022, I had the privilege of leading the creative production team at Mastery Academy, where i Managed the end-to-end production of innovative video content for e-learning courses. Responsibilities included strategic planning, development, and establishing processes and procedures for the creative production department. Oversaw content creation, supervised professional filming, monitored trainer performance and production quality, and ensured the final product was polished and ready for post-production delivery. 

One of the standout projects I managed was the transformation of a compact space into a fully equipped, state-of-the-art production room. Working with a limited budget, I directed a talented crew to install soundproofing, a 360-degree greenscreen box with black curtains, hanging metal mesh, and sufficient lighting to service a 180-degree filming area. This setup not only enhanced our production capabilities but also optimized the space for maximum creative output.

My work at Mastery Academy was driven by a commitment to creativity, precision, and the effective communication of educational content, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. 

What is Creative Production?

Creative production is an intricate process that combines innovative thinking with technical expertise to bring ideas to life in various forms. According to Tannenbaum (2003), creative production can be categorized into several types:

1. Creative Idea Production: This involves the original and innovative output of writers, poets, philosophers, painters, and composers, showcasing intellectual creativity in its purest form.

2. Meticulous Intellectual Production: This is evident in problem-solving, possessing insight, and expertise in fields such as mathematics, engineering, or data analysis. It’s the skill of turning complex challenges into clear, well-crafted solutions.

3. Creative Production of Objects and Materials: This category highlights individuals with imaginative and flexible thinking, capable of inventing or enhancing products, medical devices, and complex systems. It's also where artists and engineers shine in producing and developing new, aesthetically and functionally significant products.

4. Meticulous Object Production: This involves the precision and craftsmanship of skilled artisans, whose work focuses on mastery and accuracy rather than novelty.

5. Artistic Creativity: This encompasses the ability to create in all forms of art, from composing music to painting and performing. It’s the domain of musicians, actors, painters, and dancers who bring their creative performances to life for the audience.

6. Meticulous Artistic Performance: This is seen in the ability to execute artistic tasks with precision and discipline, often by performers who may not be the original creators but bring a high level of professionalism and dedication to their roles.

7. Creative Achievement in Human Services: This refers to the innovation and design of models for human services in politics, education, psychology, and social sciences. It’s the creative drive seen in leaders, teachers, and social workers who develop impactful and innovative solutions for society.

8. Meticulous Human Services Execution: This focuses on the precise and professional delivery of these services, often following detailed plans and guidelines to meet the needs of individuals or communities effectively.
