Below is a tentative list of 2026-2027 dual credit courses.
**Note that this information is still being updated and may change.
Any student interested in taking dual credit must communicate that with Mrs. Owens and complete the required registration for the college.
General Dual Credit Information
Dual credit courses allow students to take college courses during high school at a reduced cost. Students earn both college credit and high school graduation credit for the courses they take. This allows students to get a head start on college at a cheaper cost while also challenging them and preparing them for college-level courses.
Students must have a 3.0 GPA to enroll in dual credit courses and they must meet any specific testing/score requirements of the college offering the course.
Final course grades earned through the college will reflect on the student’s final semester grade on their high school transcript.
Dual credit courses are currently offered through Northwest Missouri State University, North Central Missouri College, and Missouri Western State University.
Some dual credit courses are offered in the traditional classroom and others are online. The specific courses offered each semester vary.
Most dual credit courses are 3 college credit hours each, but science dual credit courses are usually 4 or 5 college credit hours.
Student Expectations & Responsibilities
Dual credit courses require a much higher level of student responsibility - only students ready for this challenge should enroll.
Students are expected to abide by all of the dual credit college policies and rules. Students will follow college deadlines and timelines.
Students will need to communicate any issues with their dual credit college, professor, and/or school counselor.
North Andrew has no control over course grading, deadlines, course material, or assignments. Students are considered college students for those courses and are treated as such.
Grade updates will not be available in the same manner as high school course grades. Students will be responsible for sharing their grade updates with their parents.
Students must complete all necessary enrollment paperwork by deadlines set by the college.
Students enrolled in dual credit are responsible for knowing if the course will transfer to the university they plan to attend (Mrs. Owens can help with this). The student should contact the university they plan to attend to find out if and how the credits will be received. Students can also check transferability at transferology.com or https://web.dhewd.mo.gov/coursetransfertracker/homepage.faces.
Students/parents are responsible for paying the cost of dual credit courses directly to the college.
