How To Configure Netgear N300 Wireless Range Extender?

1. Plug the extender into the power outlet and check the Power LED.

2. If no power light lit, then press the power on/off button.

3. Connect the computer or the smartphone to the extender network by searching in the list of available networks.

4. Keep the internet connection active on your device and you may be warned for the same.

5. Open a web browser and enter the official web address of extender Mywifiext.net. If Mywifiext not working, then it means the connection between the computer and the device is not established or you have connected to the wrong Wi-Fi.

6. Tap ‘New extender setup’ if the page displays the home screen.

7. Tap ‘Yes I agree’ to accept the terms and conditions.

8. Now, you need to select the extender’s admin login credentials.

9. These credentials are used to change the extender settings from the web browser.

10. You can keep the default username and password and it is different from that of wifi password.

11. Select the answer two questions from the drop-down menu. These questions are used to get the extender admin credentials if you have forgotten them.

14. The local wireless networks will be scanned by the extender. Select 2.4 GHz or 5GHz wireless network SSID.

16. Tap ‘Next’.

17. Enter the existing network’s password and tap ‘Next’.

18. Select SSID and password for the new extender. By default, the existing network name will be added automatically and it is different for the 5GHz band. The password is also the same for the existing network.

19. If you are using Mesh extender, then there is an option to use the same wireless name and password as you are using for the existing network. For this, you will have to enable ‘Enable one Wi-Fi name’ option by click on the checkbox. With this, the same SSID and the password can be used for the extender as that for your existing network.

20. Tap ‘Next’.

21. The extender applies to the settings and will take a few minutes.

22. The extender will display the SSID and password for each band.

23. Now, from the wireless device go to ‘Wifi settings’ and click on the extender network.

24. Enter the password for the selected network.

25. Click ‘Continue’.

26. The extender has now extended the range and coverage of your existing network.
