Passport Apply

Types of Passports:

1. Ordinary Passport (Dark blue cover): For regular citizens.

2. Diplomatic Passport (Maroon cover): For government officials, diplomats, and their family members.

3. Official Passport (White cover): For government officials on official business.

Passport Validity:

- New passports are valid for 10 years.

- Passports for minors (below 18) are valid for 5 years or until they turn 18.

1. Online registration

4. Pay fees

5. Schedule appointment

6. Visit Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) for biometrics and verification

7. Receive passport via post

Required Documents:

1. Proof of Identity (Aadhaar, PAN, driving license).

2. Proof of Address (Aadhaar, utility bills).

3. Birth Certificate (for minors).

4. Passport size photos.

Fees:

- Ordinary Passport (36 pages): ₹1,500.  (Service Chares Extra) 

- Ordinary Passport (60 pages): ₹2,000.  (Service Chares Extra) 

- Expedited Service: Additional ₹2,000.  (Service Chares Extra) 

Passport Seva Kendra (PSK):

- 93+ PSKs across India.

- Appointment mandatory.

Tatkal Scheme:

- Expedited passport issuance (within 1-3 working days).

- Additional fee: ₹2,000.  (Service Chares Extra) 

mPassport Police Verification:

- Introduced to reduce verification time.

- Uses mobile-based verification.

Passport Services:
