🎭 An intimate and artistic look at the founder of the Francophone theatre group MYTHÉAS
Suren Derakhshan Kia, born on December 23, 1994, in Isfahan (Iran), is the founder, artistic director, and visionary behind the Francophone theatre group MYTHÉAS. With a strong background in French language and literature and active engagement in academic and cultural spaces, he is the creator of one of the first independent Francophone theatre initiatives in Iran.
The MYTHÉAS project was born of a simple yet powerful dream: to create an inclusive and vibrant space for those passionate about theatre, art, the French language, and its mythical heritage. It brings together people from diverse paths — fluent speakers and beginners, seasoned artists and curious newcomers.
To Suren , anyone with an interest in theatre or language deserves a place — whether on stage or behind the scenes. That’s why MYTHÉAS is not only a theatre troupe but a creative and educational platform offering workshops in pronunciation, acting, scenography, makeup, costuming, lighting, and sound.
> 🕯️ In a world full of noise, it is rare to find a space where dreams come to life. Suren is among those who don’t just dream — he builds his visions on stage, at the crossroads of art, language, and culture.
MYTHÉAS is more than a troupe — it’s a human project, a bridge between Iran and the Francophone world, a stage for learning, empathy, and shared creation. Everyone has a place — whether as a performer, writer, designer, or technical contributor.
He is currently writing an original French-language play intended to be performed by the MYTHÉAS ensemble. His work also includes translation, creative writing, and literary contributions.
> 🎭 “For me, art is a way to reinvent the world. MYTHÉAS embodies a collective dream, a theatre of possibilities, a space for growth, creativity, and rediscovery of the self.”
