This is a very simple solution for the poor interior lights in the Model 3. Just add one. No rewiring or splicing necessary. Detach the right side center console panel. Locate the existing plug with a white and brown wires which connects the LED from the inside of the center console to power. Unplug that and connect this LED in. Attach the LED with the included double sided tape to the underside of the display mount. Reinstall the side panel and you are done.
The light is activated when you open the console middle door and turns off when this is closed.
This is a rather simple DIY project if you want to make it yourself. We have included the instructions and parts list in the DIY section.
But, there are a lot of people who requested a ready made version because they don't want to bother collecting the supplies for the plugs or build it themselves.
In our version, we included a simple 3D printed backing and 3M VHB double sided tape for easy mounting.

Pop open the bottom panel of the screen. There are two 10mm hex screws. Remove those and pull the screen out and up at ~30 degree from horizontal.
