Piano black is beautiful to look at and photographs really well. The problem is it is hard to the touch and attracts finger prints worse than the DMV fingerprint scanner. An adhesive backing makes installation an easy 20 minute work for any average DIYer. It is easily reversible should you decide to change the look in a few years. We also offer an OCD version of each for those special people (we are also guilty). It is essentially an over-sized cut of the cover pieces for a more OEM install. This will require a heat gun, an Exacto knife, and removal of the trim pieces to install properly.
