By joining and using the ISTOC community, you agree that you have read and will follow the guidelines.

Goal:

The goal of ISTOC is to share best instructional practices that are content-driven, pedagogically sound, and technologically forward thinking. The discussion forum is open to all professionals employed at an independent school.

Guidelines:

• Communicate with courtesy and respect.

• Embrace and encourage new ideas and opportunities for collaboration.

• Avoid any negative behavior that undermines professional interactions.

• Communicate appropriately for a professional audience that encompasses people of different backgrounds.

Strategies for Sharing Best Practices:

• Best practices evolve from a spirit of collaboration.

• Be inclusive and welcoming to all participants by soliciting and listening to a variety of voices and perspectives.

• Model digital citizenship including the appropriate use of copyrighted materials.

• Respectfully comply with any requests to modify your speech or actions.

• Respect the privacy and personal information of other members.

• Use messaging/email responsibly.
