Who we are

My kCals is a personal calorie and nutrition tracking application developed and published by I MAJID SOLUTIONS, a company registered in England and Wales.

The short version

My kCals does not collect, store, transmit or share your personal data. Everything you enter into the app stays on your device. We do not have servers. We do not have accounts. We do not know who you are.

What data the app stores

All data created within My kCals — including your food logs, calorie entries, weight history, macro targets, personal goals and settings — is stored locally on your device only using your device's local storage.

This data:

• Never leaves your device

• Is never transmitted to our servers (we don't have any)

• Is never shared with third parties

• Is never used for advertising or analytics purposes

• Is deleted permanently if you uninstall the app or clear the app's data

Third party services

My kCals uses one external service:

Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org)

When you scan a barcode or search for a food item online within the app, a request is sent to the Open Food Facts database to retrieve nutritional information. This request contains only the barcode number or search term — no personal information is transmitted. Open Food Facts is a free, open and non-commercial food database. No other third party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms or tracking tools are used within My kCals.

Camera permission

My kCals requests access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning food barcodes. Camera access is only active when you initiate a barcode scan within the app. No images or video are captured, stored or transmitted at any time.

No account required

My kCals does not require you to create an account, provide an email address or share any personal information to use the app. The app functions entirely without any form of registration or login.

Children's privacy

My kCals does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. As the app stores no data externally and requires no account creation, it presents no data privacy risk to users of any age.

Data export and deletion

You are in complete control of your data at all times.

• Export: You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Data → Export. This saves a local backup file to your device.

• Deletion: You can delete all app data at any time from Settings → Data → or by uninstalling the app from your device. This action is permanent and irreversible.

Changes to this policy

If we make any material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
