Hello and welcome! We are starting a new Ukulele Club in Roanoke/Salem, VA! We plan on meeting every third Friday of the month. Thank you to everyone who have come to some of our first meetings!
The Club is led by Dr. Dan and his daughter, Kirsti. Anyone is welcome to come and join the fun! If you are brand new to the ukulele, plan to come to our beginner session from 5:15 - 6:15 which is for beginners and youth ages 7 and up. We will teach you how to tune your ukulele, how to strum, and how to play your first basic chords!
It's really best if you have your own ukulele, even as a beginner. If you don't have your own Uke yet - we do have 2 or 3 for you to test out and play along for a few songs if you would like to give it a try! Or you can check out our guide to buying your first ukulele here.
If you already have some ukulele playing experience and are able to play the basic chords (like C, F, G/G7, D/D7, Am/A7), come and join our Strum and Sing-A-Long group from 6:30 - 7:30!
