So the issue I have is when I try to downgrade to version 20150327, using the local method, I do not see the firmware file on my USB stick. (note: I used the same USB stick that I used to upgrade the firmware to 20160303)

Does this mean that mean that I the downgrade can not be performed using a USB stick and need to us a mircoSD card or is there a bug in firmware version 20160303 that does not allow me to see the file on my USB stick?

Mygica Atv585 Firmware Download

I was able to see the files on my USB stick by pressing the 3 Lined Menu button on the remote 10+ times as you suggested and I was able to downgrade to version 20150327 in order to have the pre-installed Kodi 14.1 installed on my ATV 585 and then I proceeded to upgrade to the latest firmware 20160303.

Very disappointed with mygica 585. Constant freezing on wake up and now no update to 5.0. Will make sure to research my next non mygica device so I don't get burnt twice. So much for my 4 month old player which is now obsolete. I see threads going back over a year asking for android 5.0 so I should have seen the writing on the wall before buying this player. Will make sure to spread the word. This was my upgrade from a 4 year old Mede8er and I must say I feel like the Mede8er aged so much better and the only reason I got this was for kodi.

Is it possible to replace the firmware or the OS of the Jadoo TV media player to new the Chromecast app or Chromecast OS (if there's any), and where can I get or download it, and how to do it? any jailbreak? any post step by step that I can Follow? thanks

Just like other software, firmware sometimes needs to be updated. If you have one of the mainstream Android TV boxes, like the Fire Stick or the NVIDIA Shield, these updates will probably happen automatically if you registered your device. If you have an Android TV box from one of the small manufacturers, though, this is a process that you may have to manage yourself.

How exactly do you update the firmware version on your Android TV box? Read on as I answer this question, and some of the other frequently asked questions about firmware that I receive here on the site.

Firmware is different from the operating system. All Android TV boxes use the Android operating system, of which there are a variety of different versions that sometimes need updating, but the firmware is specific to the hardware you use.

If you got your box from one of the mainstream hardware providers, such as Sony, Samsung, or Fire TV, if a firmware version update becomes available, you should be notified of this and your box will ask you to agree to update the firmware.

If you buy an older box or a secondhand box, the box you buy may not be running the most up-to-date firmware version. If you buy a box from a small manufacturer, they may also not provide OTA (over-the-air) notifications for when firmware updates are available.

If this is your situation, you will probably want to check that you have the most up-to-date firmware version when you are setting up your Android TV Box. This happens more often than you would think, especially if you buy your hardware through less-than-reputable dealers.

If your TV box starts to behave strangely, checking for firmware updates should be one of the things that you do to troubleshoot the problem. Some superusers also regularly check for firmware updates for their box.

How you update your Android TV box firmware is all about the type of TV box you have, which is why you look to your hardware provider, rather than any software provider, for information. Once you know the correct version, though, downloading and updating the firmware is not that different from any other Android TV software update download.

If your Android TV box is not performing optimally, an out-of-date firmware version is one of the things you should investigate as part of the trouble-fixing process. If you buy a secondhand Android TV box or you buy a box from a less-than-reputable dealer, it is also worth checking the firmware when you first set up the box. Their firmware is more likely to be out of date.

As firmware is about your hardware, you need to go to the manufacturer of your TV box for updates. Check their website when you set up your box and periodically to see if there is a firmware update available for your TV box hardware.
