Our lab likes to share our techniques with the research groups that want to utilize the C. elegans system to address their research questions. We are delighted to talk to non-C. elegans researchers or C. elegans experts about collaboration.

Services we provide

• 1. Microinjection: We will provide the injection service to target a particular gene of interest (for Baylor and North American requests: two weeks for the initial report - if injected in N2 worms). Fee-based service.

     • Transgene Expression - conventional germline transformation.  Four weeks for initial trangenic.

     • Genome Editing - CRISPR-Cas9 system: deletion or gene insertion - we will ship the edited nematode lines when F1 progeny with the co-CRISPR phenotype is produced. We can provide - an initial PCR screen.  4 to 8 weeks, depending on the targets. 

  2. Workshop: C. elegans basics, including nematode culture and maintenance, RNAi, genetic crossing, microinjection, and PCR genotyping. Contact us.
