Dear MYCincinnati Community,
We here at MYC have been so appreciative of everyone's help and dedication during this pandemic. It has truly been inspiring to see your students progress in their lessons and group classes! In March we made a tough decision to not meet in person in order to keep students, parents, staff and community members safe from COVID-19. Because we are a place where people gather, we are responsible for making the best decision to keep us all healthy and safe.
After much consideration we believe that the right decision is to continue our remote learning model for the time being. We are still dedicated to the absolute highest level of musical learning and growth for your students and this will not stop us from continuing to share our love and passion for music.
Because of the high levels of COVID-19 infections and rate of transmission, we are currently in a Level 3 State Emergency in our county (Hamilton). When our county drops to a Level 1 State Emergency, we will begin a blended model that includes both remote and in-person learning. This will allow for some students to have in-person lessons when needed or beneficial to their learning, in tandem with their zoom lessons. When we make this switch, we will be taking intense safety measures, which will be shared with you well in advance. Again, this would not be a transition to in-person learning, it would be a transition to adding some in-person learning for those who need it and are comfortable with it. This is all subject to change for the health and safety of our community.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks
Bernardo Lopez
