QuickStart Guide

A quick guide to getting started with My Cheesemaking Journal.

Welcome

My Cheesemaking Journal is designed to help you keep track of your homemade cheeses from the day they are made through maturation and, eventually, to the finished cheese.

Use the Journal to record the details of each cheese you make, where it is being matured, important dates, turning and care schedules, weights, notes and observations along the way.

A practical companion to your cheesemaking – not a replacement for your recipes, techniques or experience.

Creating Your First Cheese

Creating a cheese establishes its journal record and gives My Cheesemaking Journal the information it needs to help you manage that cheese throughout maturation.

These can include:

Good to know: You don’t need to complete every optional field when creating the cheese. Information can be added or updated later as your cheese progresses.

Your cheese will now appear in My Cheeses and can be opened whenever you want to review its details, record its progress or make changes.

What Happens Next?

Once a cheese has been created, My Cheesemaking Journal becomes its ongoing record.

As the cheese matures you can return to it to record observations, update its details, manage its maturation and care, and build a history of the cheese from make day through to completion.
