One of the best ways you can help spread the word about the appeal is to record a personal video appeal on your preferred social platform.
Here are some tools to help you do just that.
Here is an idea for what you might want to say if you're recording a video.
Please remember the DEC is a non-political organisation, focused only on supporting humanitarian needs.
Hi everyone,
As you probably know, on Friday the 28th of March, Myanmar was struck by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake - causing devastation across huge areas of Myanmar.
Even before the earthquake, Myanmar was already facing a severe humanitarian crisis with a third of the population in need of humanitarian aid.
Now the situation is catastrophic.
The death toll continues to rise. Hundreds of people are missing. Families are sleeping outside, their homes destroyed or badly damaged, in fear of further aftershocks. Hospitals and medical facilities are overwhelmed.
But we can do something to help.
The Disasters Emergency Committee has launched an urgent appeal to provide vital aid to those in need in Myanmar.
The DEC (dee-ee-cee) is a unique partnership that unites 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds in response to urgent humanitarian crises across the world.
Having worked in Myanmar for decades, DEC charities have a strong local partner base, rooted in the affected communities and are able to rapidly respond.
Whatever you can give, please donate today and help them reach more people that need support. All donations will make a difference.
