I was born & raised in the small community of Russell, Ontario, on a family-run dairy farm. My upbringing on the farm provided numerous learning opportunities, both as a child and young adult, and I continue to develop valuable life skills. I come from a family of six, with three older sisters who are all closely spaced in age. While our family home may have been chaotic at times with four teenagers, it is these moments that make family life unique and keeps it exciting.
As a highly active individual, I have a strong passion for sports, particularly winter sports such as hockey and skiing. On another note, I really enjoy traveling.
Aside from sports, I value my relationships with family and friends. I really enjoy spending time with them and making memories.
Upon completing my degree at Bishop's, my goal is to return to Ottawa, Ontario, and begin a teaching career, with the aim of eventually teaching high school in my hometown.
I would not consider myself a "tech-savvy" person, however, I do utilize several social media platforms on a regular basis. I do enjoy watching youtube videos as well.
As a future educator, I believe it is essential to stay current with technology so that I may connect with my students and effectively educate them on the proper use of current technologies so, I am looking forward to learning them.
