convert tcx to fit with FitFileRepairTool

Check that you at least have version 8.2.19 on your FitFileRepairTool installation.

Select Import and repair file and chose your file

If you have more than 30 sek between gps points, then you will get a Gaps-warning. Ignore it.

Check Records tab. If there are gps records (not the first one) that don't have a speed value, then you probably get a moving time that is lower that total time. I think that this will get you wrong total time on watch when previewing in course list.

Goto Advanced Feature tab and chose 'Recalc all speed values'.

Would you like to change you virtual partner pace that you would like to use?

FFRT give you two ways to do that. Goto Advanced Feature tab and chose 'Course files: Add dyn...'.

  • Simple mode - Same pace throughout the course
  • Advanced mode - Take elevation into account

Check 'Course points' tab. Double check course point names and point types.

For instance GPSies.com do not export sharp- or slight-Left correct. It will be only Left. You need to manually change left to sharpLeft.

In 5x only 16 characters will be seen and watch can't handle international characters.

Choose Export button. Course tab is default.

Select a file name after your naming convention. This is not used in watch once imported.

Write a course name after you naming convention. 5x can only handle 15 characters and those need to be unique. This name is used in watch as both file name and viewed in list.

'Set current date and time...' need to be checked to do the course unique and not write over other courses on watch.

Copy the fit file to NewFiles folder on the watch.

Happy running!
