Due to more realistic testing conditions, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured according to WLTP will in many cases be higher than the values measured according to NEDC. As a result, the taxation of vehicles may change accordingly as of 1 September 2018. For further information on the differences between WLTP and NEDC, please visit www.volkswagen.de/wltp.

Got a brand new Jetta last week and I love it, but I'm running into problems with App-Connect. It'll say my iPhone is connecting but then after 5 seconds it disconnects, but connects again after a second and the cycle just keeps on repeating so I have no way of using Apple Carplay at all...

As Volkswagen moved toward its goal of creating a digital platform to integrate connected cars, cloud and services, Huettel says, it recognized a need to be more agile and establish a single digital platform. The company has revamped its digital strategy in recent months, integrating some operations and acquiring several software companies. But to become a customer-centric company with an ecosystem that connects its vehicles, Volkswagen decided to partner with Microsoft.

The new entity, Templeton says, will help Volkswagen evolve into a software-driven company that can connect directly with customers and offer services in multiple ways, from pushing software updates directly out to vehicles to allowing drivers to purchase services from their cars or through mobile apps.

Simply connect your iPhone to App-Connect using a USB cable and watch select apps appear on your dash through the touchscreen display. Access your contacts just like you would on your iPhone and then use voice control, on select models, to dial-up friends to make plans.

Once your phone is connected, your contacts, music, and compatible apps will be downloaded for your convenience. This will allow you to seamlessly connect with friends and loved ones while driving. Remember, it is illegal to text or call and drive. Utilizing this feature in your VW will make the roads a safer place for drivers and pedestrians.

I recently bought a VW with an RNS 315 car stereo. Frustratingly my Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 will not stay connected in order to play music over bluetooth. The phone does stay connected for calls and phone wirks perfectly.

I found that if I had all the "wireless" connections on, eg wifi, bluetooth, nfc, gps, that sometimes I would not connect. Dropping/ turning off wifi and nfc did the trick for me. I in fact no longer have this issue, as maybe one of the latest updates fixed it.

Another point to check is when you paired your phone to the VW system, did you setup all the VW connections rather than just the one which then supposedly connects the rest of the services. eg you can setup separately phone, audio, media etc...

Did you manage to fix this issue. I have an S10 and connect to my VW RNS315. I can connect my phone for calls via bluetooth, however it won't let me connect for audio. Its quite frustrating. I can go into my phone booth tooth options and audio is unchecked, when I try to toggle it over, it will no let me.

I have the same problem with a Galaxy Fold. If the car initiates the connection the phone does not allow audio but does work for phone calls and contacts sync. When I go to the bluetooth setting on the phone, and tap the gears next to VW Phone, audio is off and can't be switched on.

But if the phone initiates the connection then it all works. So every time I get in the car, after the connection is made, I switch off bluetooth on the phone, then switch it on again and it shows VW phone. I tap VW phone and it connects and audio works.

Hi guys!

Same problem with a Galaxy S23+ and the original stereo of my 2014 VW Amarok. I also had the same problem with my previous S6+ and S9+. The phone connects correctly for calls and contacts, but does not activate the "Audio" option in the bluetooth connection. Seems like a Samsung issue, as I've seen the same problem with several Sansung phones and have very easily paired phones from other brands to share audio. I have asked Samsung support for help and they just trigger the traditional advice: update your system, reset your connection data, etc. Nothing had worked. I'm thinking of an FM-Bluetooth adapter

Could someone solve the problem?

The only workaround for me seems to be to turn off Bluetooth on the Galaxy, then turn it back on. The phone will find VW PHONE (the RNS 315), which you have to manually select from the BT list, then it connects and BT audio works.
