This episode starts with an alien commonly known as from the species Ploook. He is running for his life, following him, Cornell and the SDC are shown who are trying to catch the alien but fail due to interference of Cornell. The very next day, the team discusses about how to send that alien back to his home town, when they all agree to a plan. They decide that Boom will go with Cornell so that he does he keeps Cornell away from making any trouble as he was also going to catch the alien. At night the SDC, Cornell, and the team, they all make theri own ways and find the alien. Finally at the end, the Team rescues it with the help of Iris, since that alien was very scared with the new environment. The SDC still think it was Cornell's fault that the alien escaped. The episodes ends happily as always.

The episode was written by series co-creator Trey Parker and is rated TV-MA in the United States. It depicts several religious figures, including Muhammad, whose appearance at the time of the original airing caused little to no controversy. Following Islamists' death threats regarding Muhammad's portrayal in the 2010 episode titled "201", the South Park Studios website no longer streams "Super Best Friends", nor is it available for streaming or purchase from online stores. The episode has been replaced on the South Park Studios with a notice: "We apologize that South Park Studios cannot stream Super Best Friends."[1] The episode was also featured in syndication, but was permanently removed after the threats.[citation needed] It is one of five episodes which are unavailable on Max and Paramount+, along with season 14's "200", and the aforementioned "201", as well as season 10's "Cartoon Wars Part I" and "Cartoon Wars Part II".

"Super Best Friends", along with the thirteen other episodes from South Park: the Complete Fifth Season, were released on a three-disc DVD set in the United States on February 22, 2005. The sets included brief audio commentaries by Parker and Stone for each episode.[6]

The episode was included in the re-release of the fifth season on Blu-ray, released on December 5, 2017.[7] This was the first time the episode was made available in HD, as the episode was not released alongside the rest of the season when it debuted in HD on iTunes in 2011.[8] The episode is shown in its original presentation, without Muhammad's image being obscured as in later episodes of the series.[9]

The Friendly Giant was a children's television program that aired on CBC Television from September 30, 1958 through to March 1985. It featured three main characters: a giant named Friendly (played by Bob Homme), who lived in a huge castle, along with his puppet animal friends Rusty (a rooster who played a harp, guitar, and accordion and lived in a book bag hung by the castle window), and Jerome (a giraffe who's tawny with purple spots and pokes his head in the window). The two principal puppets of the CBC version of the show were manipulated and voiced by Rod Coneybeare.[4] Originally in Wisconsin, they were manipulated and voiced by Ken Ohst.[5]

The shows were largely ad libbed, typically based around a one-page plot summary for each episode. This gave the show an added spontaneity uncommon to most children's shows, though the series was marked by a go-slow, gentle nature with naturalistic discussions between Friendly, Rusty, and Jerome, as though the friends were meeting and simply having a conversation as opposed to actually having a set storyline. The simple repetition of its main elements from show to show put it fundamentally at odds with the bolder, ever-changing nature of such shows as Sesame Street, but complemented Mr. Dressup, which was a similarly low-key children's series that usually aired immediately after Friendly Giant.

In 1985, The Friendly Giant was cancelled. The show's replacement, Fred Penner's Place, has been referred to by some people as "the Giant Killer".[7] By the time The Friendly Giant ended, more than 3,000 episodes of the show had been produced.

The series narrative follows six friends living and working in New York City: Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, and Ross Geller played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer respectively. All episodes were filmed at Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank in front of a live Studio Audience. The fourth season finale, "The One with Ross's Wedding", however, was filmed on location in London in front of a British studio audience.[1]

When a big red alien named Boom crashes on his balcony, the 12-year-old Linus has to hide him from the SDC. Thanks to Dr. K, Linus acquires the Scire Swatch which allows him, among other things, to put Boom under a human disguise at will. His friends Iris, Monroe and Taki soon join him in his mission to find aliens lost on Earth, free or protect them from the SDC, and safely send them back home. All of this while avoiding Chase, the most feared agent of the SDC. Things gets more complicated when Jenny, the girl Linus is in love with, develops a crush on Boom.

The show has some similarities with the Ben 10 franchise. The creators mentioned they got tired of young heroes slaughtering "monsters" without second thoughts and wanted to try something different. So their heroes do the opposite, protecting them. My Giant Friend tends to be formulaic with many points left unexplained (the 12 minutes format clearly didn't help the storytelling) but it has quite the charm, with interesting designs (both for aliens, mechas and technology), good music and endearing characters (especially Iris and Chase). The first season had 52 episodes and ended with an obvious Sequel Hook. A second season was planned and already written but got cancelled due to disagreements between the French and Korean producers.

However, as time passed, space for the giants started to get smaller as humans appeared and built their towns to live in. Although the giants were not evil and held no malice towards humans, their size resulted in several accidents where they unintentionally crushed the houses of the humans. As such, the first human settlements did not last long.[2] This caused the people to riot against the giants, forcing them out of their world: the valley. In the end, the giants were forced to move away from their home, their current whereabouts unknown, which led some to believe that the giants jumped as high as they could and floated off into space, which later in the episode, was proven to be true. Only a few giants remained on Earth; Jorgen, who was still performing his duty as guardian, Illus, who waited for Jorgen and fell asleep for thousands of years, and the Forest Giants, who were the smallest giants and thus could hide in the woods. 17dc91bb1f
