New to MWR? Complete your training course prior to your reservation here. Required for new customers who do not possess a boater's license.
Help yourself get ready for your next adventure with us by preparing for how to operate the equipment safely and to minimize damage. Whether you are a first time renter or seasoned captain, training is always a good way to start out your rental experience. If you already have a boater's license, please ensure you bring that with you to your reservation and these videos are optional and a great refresher. If your license is not for Virginia, check to see if your state is a reciprocal of Virginia. To be a reciprocal of Virginia, you must have taken a NASBLA-approved boating safety course and carry a Boater Education Certificate.
For our renters who do not possess a license already, please ensure you click on the appropriate link below to complete the training course for your equipment prior to your reservation. These videos will take roughly 20 minutes to view and there is a test at the end that must be passed for the certificate.
*Disclaimer, every body of water is different with different signs, rules, and different scenarios may come into play. Please use these videos as an educational guide to familiarize yourself only.
