How old do you need to be to rent? 18 with a valid driver's license.
Do you require a boater's license? No, while a boater's license is not required, it is HIGHLY recommended. You can obtain it free at https://www.boatus.org/virginia or we will give you a temporary license. You can obtain the temporary license in person at time of check in if you follow these steps: Click on the light blue link above for "Training for Temp License" and select the course for the type of equipment you are renting. You will need to watch the videos and pass the quiz to obtain the certification of completion. You will need to present the certification and your ID at time of check in for us to provide you with the temporary license.
Does the temporary boater's license cost additional money? No, we provide it as a courtesy but the training courses must be complete prior to start of reservation.
Are life jackets included? Yes, we will provide the life jackets and anything else needed to legally get out on the water.
Is gas included in the cost of the rental? No, we can charge you for the fuel consumed at the completion of your rental or you can fill up at the marina next door or anywhere else on the lake prior to returning your equipment.
Is fishing allowed on the boats? Absolutely, please ensure you have your fishing license prior to your reservation. You can obtain via Virginia DWR or at most marinas on the lake.
Are dogs allowed on the boats? Yes, well mannered dogs are allowed on board so long as local leash laws are observed and vaccinations are up to date.

Do you provide multi-day discounts? Yes, please call us to discuss at 540-588-6539.
What should I bring with me to my rental? We recommend you to bring your driver's license, your debit/credit card, sunscreen, beach towels, a hair tie if your hair is beyond shoulder length, and drinks to keep you hydrated.
Are you on the public side or private side of the lake? We are located on the public side within Rocky Branch Marina and Campground at 5153 Courthouse Rd Spotsylvania, VA.
Do you offer kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards? No, however, the business right next to us, R&R Rentals, does. Please call Rebecca at 540-419-3566.
Are there additional fees I should be concerned about? During the summer months and weekends, there is a $5 parking fee charged by Rocky Branch per vehicle that is paid directly to them. The only additional costs MWR charges are taxes and fuel replacement unless there is damaged equipment.

What is your cancelation policy? 48 hours notice needed to reimburse any deposits paid and rain checks are always offered subject to availability.
Do you ever run any specials, discounts, or giveaways? All the time, please follow us on Facebook to get up to date information on deals, giveaways, specials, and discounts.
What are your business hours? We are open from March-November 7 days a week from 9am-6pm weather permitting, follow us on facebook so obtain any news about closures or out of season openings. We send equipment out starting at 9am and we stop sending rentals out at 4pm. We are available by reservation only so please contact us to reserve your spot!
If I book for the full day, what time does my time start? Your reservation will start at 9am and you will have the equipment up to 6pm. All equipment unless rented overnight has to be back by 6pm or the end of your rental period; whichever is sooner.
Where are you located? We are located at 5153 Courthouse Rd Spotsylvania, VA 22551. We are conveniently located within Rocky Branch Marina and Campground.
Who is responsible if I damage the equipment? You would be responsible for any damaged equipment. Please check with staffing as our premium rentals do have the ability to purchase optional insurance.
Can I tow a tube and/or other sporting equipment behind the jetski? We do strictly prohibit the use of towables behind our jetski for your own safety. We do have boats that come with the towables included. Check them out under the rentals tab above!
How do I know if I am on the private side of the lake? Give us a call and we can verify if your address is on the private side of the lake.
What is the difference between the private side of the lake and public? Lake Anna is a man made lake dedicated to cooling down the North Anna Power Station. The public side, also known as the cold side, is the cooling and intake side in which the water passes through the plant to assist in cooling down the reactors then is dispatched into the private side. The two sides are separated by dike 3 making it impassable between the two sides.
Who drives the equipment? You can or you can hire a captain(subject to availability). The captain comes included if you are embarking on an excursion.
How do we pickup the equipment? All of our watercrafts are in water and ready to operate. Simply park at our establishment and take off from our dock to start your adventure!
Do you deliver? Yes! We require a 3 day minimum and there is a $100 delivery charge. This is only available by calling so please contact 540-588-6539. Please note that delivery takes place by 9am the day of the start of the reservation and pickup will take place around or after 6pm on the final date
Do you offer captained options? Yes! Make sure to call us so we can plan your captained charter with either our pontoon or our Wakeboat Excursion as we do need at least 24 hours notice to ensure appropriate staffing.
Can I drive anywhere on the lake? Absolutely, we have no blacklisted areas. You are welcome to drive anywhere on the public side. Please take note that the private side is impassable from the public side due to the separation by a dike.
Do you provide a map of the Lake? Yes! Just ask for a courtesy copy of Lake Anna's Magazine.Â
