The Mount Washington Middle School Dance Team was founded by Tiffany Shirley in 2024. During their first season, the Generals Dance Team placed high in the Middle School Pom category at multiple competitions, including being Grand Champions for Dance (out of all elementary, middle, and high school teams) at the Pleasant Grove Dolphins Beach Bash (2024)!
In 2025, the Mount Washington Middle School Dance Team was merged with Eastside Middle School to create a joint East Middle School Dance Team. We are excited for this new journey!

The East Elementary Dance Team was founded in the summer of 2025 by Tiffany Shirley, Director of Emergence Studio of Performing Arts. Created out of a passion for expanding local dance opportunities, the team continues to build upon existing programs in the community. With a mission to grow the arts and make them accessible to all, East Elementary’s team offers young dancers a place to develop their skills, gain confidence, and shine both on and off the stage.
The mission of our dance team is to build confidence, connection, and creativity through dance. With Focus in our training, Flow in our movement, and the courage to Fly, we support each other, grow together, and shine as one team. We proudly represent our schools and community with spirit and pride, and we’re committed to uplifting the Mt. Washington community through performance, teamwork, and service.
