About Us

Michael Kaplan has been teaching Acting in and around New York for over 21 years. He has his Master's Degree in Educational Theatre from NYU Steinhardt and a MFA in Directing from the University of Idaho. In addition to teaching and directing here at the High School, Mr. Kaplan also runs an acting studio in Highland, NY, From Stage to Screen Acting Studio, which puts up 8 productions a year and where Mr. Kaplan works as a private acting and vocal coach. The theatre has been a part of Mr. Kaplan's life since he was 6 years old, and he would like to invite you all to participate in all the wonderful theatrical opportunities here at the High School both in school by enrolling in Acting 1,  Advanced Acting, and/or Stagecraft, and after school by joining the cast and/or crew of our many Drama Club events.  Need to reach out to me?
