Mission Valley SELPA is committed to working collaboratively with families to ensure students receive appropriate special education services based on their individual assessed needs.
If you are a parent or legal guardian requesting an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) at public expense, you must submit your request to your school district. Upon receiving your request, the district will either:
Consider and respond to your request in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, or
Initiate due process to demonstrate that the district's evaluation is appropriate.
To request an IEE at public expense, please review the information below and complete the IEE Request Google Form. After your request is submitted, your district's Special Education Director will contact you regarding the next steps.
Families are encouraged to contact their Program Specialist or Special Education Director at any time to discuss their child's educational needs in a confidential and collaborative manner.
