Extended Day is offered to all students in Grades K-5 at all MV Elementary/K-8 schools before & after school hours. During these times, students will do things such as: have extra recess, make crafts, eat snacks, homework time, etc to help parents who are at work and have to drop off/pick up their child early/late. To join, use the form above. There is a 20-dollar fee per day of the week your child(ren) will be here (ex., Tuesday & Thursday, you will need to pay 40 dollars to sign up).
When your child signs up and it's their first day, notify their homeroom teacher regarding the change and notify the office if you will be absent or leaving early.
Drop off/Pickup Locations:
Chilmark Elementary School - Front door to State Road
Edgartown School - Edgartown Library Parking Lot
Oak Bluffs School - Small playground in the front (where the carpool drop off/pickup is for the start/end of school)
Tisbury School - Driveway in the front of the school (changed from 25-26 SY)
West Tisbury School - Front of school on the driveway
Extended Day is offered daily starting the first day of school and is offered through the last day of school.
If there is a delay, then extended day will begin earlier. So if there is a one-hour delay, drop-off will start at 8am, and for a two-hour delay, it will be 9am. On early dismissal days that are for things such as weather, there is NO extended day. Regular early dismissals for parent-teacher conferences and professional development will still have extended day!
