MVHS Fire Science Program operates out of 3 classrooms, 1 simulation lab, and secure Drill Ground just outside out the FST building with a 2001 Type 1 Fire Engine. (soon to include an additional Type 1 Engine in May 2025 donated by Pechanga Fire and a Type 3 Wildland Engine donated by CalFire Riverside end of 2025)
On our Drill ground we house two 40 foot storage container containing fire hose, training ladders, hand tools, SCBA/Masks, Turn Out Safety Gear, gear bags, etc.
Our Instructors teach their curriculum within their classroom. A total of 3 classrooms allow each section to be taught in a realistic environment.
Classroom 811 is our largest room to allow 60 students to comfortably learn. This includes 10 large rectangle tables with 6 chairs. This room is used to dual instruct our Wildland and EMT courses.
Classroom 813 is our Fire Science Technology room that seats 34 students and gives the environment you would have in a Fire Station.
Classroom 815 is our EMT room that is mostly for simulations and lab and houses our Sim Ambulance. This room includes 3 high fidelity feedback manikins (Hal, Suzie, Lil Hal)
