Pat is an Orange County native, residing in Silverado Canyon for 56 years and now here in Mission Viejo.
Pat retired from the OCFA after a 38-year career in which he advanced through the ranks to that of Battalion Chief serving the Cities of Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest and the Canyon areas.
He also served as a Deputy Fire Marshal, creating and supervising the Pre-Fire Management section of the Fire Prevention Department which focuses on Wildland Fire Prevention and Preparation. He was a member of the working group that designed the Ready, Set, GO! program which is the nationally recognized program for wildland fire preparedness. In addition, Pat collaborated with OC Parks and the Irvine Ranch Conservancy to create the OC Fire Watch Program. This program deploys volunteers into high wildfire risk communities during Red Flag warning days as a visible deterrent to illegal activities and early reporting of wildfire.

Michael Berg, MBA, CIRMS, CMCA, EBP – Is Vice President of Education for LaBarre Oksnee Insurance. He has been a licensed insurance agent since 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from UC Santa Cruz, and his MBA from Chapman University. He served on the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Orange County, CA Chapter board for six years (Chapter President – 2016) and CAI National Business Partners Council. Michael’s goal is to help empower community managers, homeowner leaders, and other business partners in making decisions that improve the experience of living in, and working with, a community.

Hazard Reduction • Presented by Pat Antrim
During his time living in Silverado, he served on the Board of Directors of the Fire Safe Council – East Orange County Canyons which covers the area from the 241 Toll Road in Orange to Holy Jim Canyon. He administered several fuel reduction grants, annual canyon clean up “chipper days” events, ultimately achieving the status of a Fire Wise Community.
In retired life, Pat continues to work part time as a Wildfire Risk Mitigation consultant focusing on Tactical Fire Planning, Infrastructure Resiliency Wildfire Planning and open space Fire Management Planning.
