our History

It all began in 2015, when Ania Rybacka decided to start up Modern Vocal Ensemble as a choir under Danish evening school Kor-skolen. 

Back then, we were only five members, but we quickly grew in size as more like-minded and music-loving people heard about us. 

Today, we are a strong team of about 25 dedicated members, who all love singing together, creating magic with our voices, and sharing this with others through a range of performances. 

In 2022, we decided to change our name from Modern Vocal Ensemble to MVE Copenhagen. For more information on the current structure and members of MVE Copenhagen, see About Us
