Privacy Policy for SnapPDF: Photo to PDF Converter
Last updated: 2026-04-17
This Privacy Policy explains how SnapPDF (“the App”) handles information when you use it.
1) Summary
- The App converts your photos to a PDF on your device.
- The App does not require you to create an account.
- The App does not upload your photos to a developer-controlled server.
- If advertising is enabled, the App uses Google Mobile Ads. That SDK may collect and share certain device and usage information for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention.
2) Information we process
2.1 Photos and files (on-device)
- When you select photos, the App reads them locally to generate a PDF.
- Generated PDFs are created locally on your device.
- Your photos and PDFs are not transmitted to the developer by the App.
2.2 Advertising (Google Mobile Ads)
The App may display ads using Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may collect information such as:
- Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID or other identifiers)
- IP address (which can be used to infer approximate location)
- App interaction data (e.g., ad impressions/clicks)
- Diagnostics and performance data
This information is used for:
- Showing and measuring ads
- Preventing fraud and abuse
- Improving ad performance and reliability
For details, see Google’s policies and documentation for Google Mobile Ads/AdMob.
3) Data sharing
- The App does not sell your personal data.
- Advertising-related data may be shared with Google and its advertising partners as part of ad delivery and measurement.
4) Data retention
- The App does not maintain a developer-hosted backend, and does not store your photos on our servers.
- Any locally created PDFs remain on your device unless you delete them.
- Advertising SDK data retention is governed by Google and its partners.
5) Security
- The App processes photos locally.
- Network traffic (if ads are enabled) is handled by the advertising SDK and typically encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Exact behavior depends on the SDK and device/network conditions.
6) Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through advertising services, please contact us and we will provide guidance on available options.
7) Your choices
- You can remove the App at any time.
- You can control ad personalization through your device settings and (where applicable) consent dialogs.
- You can manage photo permissions in your device’s system settings.
