Arranging a funeral in Australia requires to follow a legal process. It requires documentation, engaging a Funeral registered service (Funeral Director) and arranging funds for Funeral Service fee. In countries where the majority of Muslims have come from, funeral process is very different. Majority of the Muslims lack the knowledge of funeral process and resources to conduct a funeral in Australia, therefore they face many difficulties in making the funeral arrangements. There was a need of establishing an organisation which can assist Muslims to make funeral arrangement.
Organising Ghusl, Janazah prayer and burial
Arranging Dua/Quran Khuwani for the deceased
Providing food to the family of the deceased for 3 days
Paying the Funeral Fee for a swift funeral process. This payment will be a Qardh-e-Hasanah loan and to be returned when convenient and funds are available.
Organising members get-to gathers/Meetings
Organising workshops for bathing the dead body and how to perform Janazah Prayer
$100 Registration fee (dependent Children included).
Membership is open to all Muslims
New members must have a reference of a member of the Muslim Burial Help Perth.
MBHP, if required, may ask the members for Qardh-e-Hasanah for short periods to keep the funds ready for at least 2 burial arrangements. When the amount is received back from the member's family, the loan will be returned to members.
MBHP will pay for the Funeral fee of the members. This payment will be a Qardh-e-Hasanah loan and must be returned by the family when funds are available and convenient.
For those members who are deprived and needy, MBHP will assess the conditions of the family immediately, and if the family agrees, a fundraiser on Go Fundme will be organized, and the amount spent on Burial can be recovered from that later.
You can also deposit your funeral fee in advance. MBHP has arranged a 7-year installment plan with Funeral Director Brother Hafiz Muhamad Wahid of “United Australian Islamic Association Inc. (UAIA)”, Maddington Musallah. Payment plan is $100/Month for 7 years. This amount will be transferable and refundable. To register and more information please contact Brother Wahid on 0412 033 225.
