This has been finalised after discussions and consultations and collecting information from some of the Islamic Organisations around Australia. These options will be reflected on our registration form and website Insha’Allah. 

Members have 2 options. They can pick 1 or 2 or both.

Option 1. MBHP will pay the funeral director fee as a Qardh-e-Hasanah.  

When a member passes away MBHP will pay for the funeral director fee. This will be a loan Qardh-e-Hasanah. And, whenever it's convenient and possible for the affected family, return the amount to MBHP. Here in Australia, it is possible, that people will have an amount in the form of a Super or the Bank or having investment, insurance, etc but, it may not be available immediately, so paying the Funeral fee immediately will be a big help. The member's family will return the amount to MBHP, when the funds are recovered and when it is convenient for them to return.  

MBHP, if required, may ask the members for Qardh-e-Hasanah for short periods to keep the funds ready for at least 2 burial arrangements. When the amount received back from the member's family, the loan will be returned to the members. 

For those members who are deprived and needy, MBHP will assess the conditions of the family immediately, and if family agreed, a fundraiser on Go Fundme will be organized, and the amount spent on Burial can be recovered from that later.

So, in short, MBHP will pay for the Funeral Fee. Those members who can afford, will return the amount to MBHP when convenient and for those members who cannot afford it, MBHP will do a fundraiser. Insha’Allah.  

OPTION 2.  Members pay the Funeral Director Fee in advance, in installments of 7 years.

To pay the funeral fee in advance, MBHP has arranged a 7-year installment plan with Funeral Director Brother Hafiz Muhamad Wahid of “United Australian Islamic Association Inc. (UAIA)”, Maddington Musallah. Payment plan is $100/Month for 7 years. This amount will be transferable and refundable. To register and more information please contact Brother Wahid on 0412 033 225. You will still be an MBHP member and only contribute to food support etc to the affected family. It will hardly be a $10 contribution on a member's death. 

IMPRTANT NOTE:  

(1).  If you are opting for option number 2, above, please contact brother Hafiz Wahid on 0412 033 225 and you will be guided through. If you are opting for Option 1, you do not need to do anything.  

(2).  If you do not agree with any of the Options, and would like to cancel your membership with MBHP, can do so. Just send us an email at muslimburialhelp.perth@gmail.com within 2 weeks of this note and we will cancel your membership. Also, if you request a refund of your $100 registration fee, we will return the $100 registration fee as well, as at this stage that amount has not been used for any purpose. Please send us your Bank Details in this case.
