- What do I need to bring to the MCMO? - All you need is a pencil, approved calculator, school ID, and and a passion for math!
- What is the calculator policy? - All scientific calculators are allowed. The MCMO recommends the TI-30X calculator. If, however, you do not have a calculator, one will be provided for you. Under no circumstances are graphing calculators of any sort allowed. Failure to abide by the MCMO calculator policy results in automatic disqualification.
- What will my attendance look like? Will I be marked with an unexcused absence? - After closely discussing each school's attendance policy with your principle, you will be granted an excused absence from school.
- Can I leave early? Can I come late? - Because we have carefully negotiated excused-absence plans with your principal from 8:30 A.M to 12:00 P.M, you must be able to able to attend for the full duration.
- Can I see my test after the competition is over? - Yes! Once tests have been scored, you will receive your test, answer sheet, and scratch paper. Unlike ACT/SAT policy, you are free to discuss test questions once all the individual tests have been collected. Furthermore, we will provide you with an answer key.
- Can my parent(s)/legal guardian(s) come? - Yes! We highly encourage your guardian to attend the MCMO. However, they cannot serve as a testing aid.
- What happens if I don't abide by integrity rules? - Failure to abide by integrity rules result in automatic disqualification and an unscored test.
- I have an allergy, what next? - Please make note of your allergy on the online registration form. We will be sure to provide food that is inclusive of your needs.
- Do I need to bring money to participate? - Because of our generous sponsors, participation in the MCMO is 100% FREE of charge.
