Alastair was joined by Charlotte Ashton (flute), Ewan Robertson (whistle, alto flute and piccolo) and Iain Crawford (double bass).
A wonderful afternoon of Scottish Folk Music old and new - lots of energetic, toe-tapping Scottish folk music, interspersed with some beautiful lyrical and uplifting pieces.
We were treated to arrangements of Robert Burns related melodies, music by James Scott Skinner and tunes from the Scottish Islands. Also some new compositions from Alastair, including "Down the Line" - a duo for fiddle and flute written during lockdown.
Very poignantly, for our community, the first piece - Lamet for Jas. Moray - was dedicated to Richard Chester.
